The Central Bank of Solomon Islands is seeking to recruit a suitable and qualified person for the position of Analyst Applied Research Policy within the Financial Systems Regulation Department (FSRD) .
The potential candidate must have essential minimum experience and qualification below.
Essential Qualification
- A Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics or Public Policy; advanced technical skills.
Essential Experience
Proven experience in policy development, data analysis and financial regulations. Work experience of 3 years and more.
Responsibility
- Research on Financial Sector Issues
- Undertake in-depth research on current and emerging financial sector issues.
- Economic and Data Analysis
- Conduct rigorous economic analyses and data assessment
- Collaboration with Supervisors and Regulators
- Liaise with financial sector unit supervisors and regulators to identify and address gaps in existing frameworks.
- Investigative Research
- Conduct investigative research on underperforming or problematic financial institutions.
- Legal Coordination
- Work closely with the legal team on legislative reviews, prudential standards, guidelines, directives and the development of new reforms affecting the financial sector.
- Report Drafting
- Assist in drafting the comprehensive bi-annual financial stability reports on macro-financial conditions, both globally and domestically.
