Reports to:     Manager Applied Research Policy


The Central Bank of Solomon Islands is seeking to recruit a suitable and qualified person for the position of Analyst Applied Research Policy within the Financial Systems Regulation Department (FSRD) .

The potential candidate must have essential minimum experience and qualification below.

  • A Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics or Public Policy; advanced technical skills.

Proven experience in policy development, data analysis and financial regulations. Work experience of 3 years and more.

  • Research on Financial Sector Issues
  • Undertake in-depth research on current and emerging financial sector issues.
  • Economic and Data Analysis
  • Conduct rigorous economic analyses and data assessment
  • Collaboration with Supervisors and Regulators
  • Liaise with financial sector unit supervisors and regulators to identify and address gaps in existing frameworks.
  • Investigative Research
  • Conduct investigative research on underperforming or problematic financial institutions.
  • Legal Coordination
  • Work closely with the legal team on legislative reviews, prudential standards, guidelines, directives and the development of new reforms affecting the financial sector.
  • Report Drafting
  • Assist in drafting the comprehensive bi-annual financial stability reports on macro-financial conditions, both globally and domestically.
