The Central Bank of Solomon Islands is seeking to recruit a suitable and qualified person for the position of Analyst Policy Development within the Financial Systems Regulation Department ( FSRD) 

The potential candidate must have essential minimum experience and qualification below.

Essential Qualification
  • Requires a Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
Essential Experience

At least 3 years of experience in financial policy development, regulatory work, or related areas within a central bank, financial supervisory agency, or financial institution.

Responsibility
  • Policy Development for Financial Stability- Design and develop sound macro- and micro-prudential policies to enhance financial system resilience.
  • Standards & Regulatory Framework Development- Draft and develop new prudential standards, policies, and regulations focused on governance, risk management, and compliance for Licensed Financial Institutions (LFIs) and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs).
  • Legislative Support and Liaison- Work closely with CBSI’s Legal team or unit in reviewing, updating, and drafting financial sector legislation and regulations.
  • Financial Stability Reporting – Support the drafting and publication of the bi-annual Financial Stability Report (FSR), including data analysis, policy write-ups, and risk assessment content.
  • Report Drafting- Assist in drafting the comprehensive bi-annual financial stability reports on macro-financial conditions, both globally and domestically.
  • General Duties – Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the FSRD Management Team in line with departmental objectives and CBSI’s strategic goals.
