The Central Bank of Solomon Islands is seeking to recruit a suitable and qualified person for the position of Information Security Analyst within the Information, Communication and Technology Department (ICTD).

The potential candidate must have essential minimum experience and qualification below.

Essential Qualification
  • A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity,
    Information Security, or a related field or certification in
    Cyber/Information Security
Essential Experience

At least 5 years experiences in information security role or
related roles.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM solution
and vulnerability management tool such as Tenable and
• Experience in incident detection and response, risk
management and threat analysis.

Responsibility

Perform in-depth analysis of potential threats and vulnerabilities from multiple sources including SIEM, Vulnerability Management, Firewall, etc.
• Collection, analysis, and dissemination of information
regarding threats to the Bank information assets both
critical and non-critical.
• Identification of security controls, assessing their
effectiveness, risk exposures, and developing
remediation plans.
• Collaborate with other business functions to implement
cyber and IT security measures and control.
• Keeps track of Cyber threats and updates other team
members accordingly.
• Evaluate system security configurations and perform
testing where necessary to harden and secure systems.
Manage system changes and assess the security impact
of those changes.
• Evaluate application configurations and advise on
security Issues.
• Participates in investigations that require electronic
information.
• Develop and implement Data Loss protection procedures
and practices.
• Conducts security and risk assessments of change
requests and advises the IT team.
• Carries out continual assessments of infrastructure and
data – identifying potential vulnerabilities and proposing
solutions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures.
• Monitors compliance with Information Security or
Cybersecurity policies.
• Delivers regular training programs for employees on
Cyber Risk and Cyber Security.
• Monitors infrastructure, applications, and operating
systems to ensure up-to-date versions and patches are
tested and implemented.
• Implements the recommendations from independent
assessments and audits.
• Produces regular reports and analytics on internal and
external cyber/ information security threats to the Bank.
• Provides occasional out-of-hours support.
• Provide reporting to Senior Information Security Officer
on major activities undertaken each week.
• Perform any other tasks as when required.
