Honiara, 19 February 2026 — At its meeting on 19 February 2026, the Board of the Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI) decided to maintain an accommodative monetary policy stance for the next six months to support economic activity while ensuring inflation remains below 5%.
In line with this decision, the Bank introduced a policy rate set at 1.5% as a new operational tool within its monetary policy framework.
